There is a fantastic local pub in Golant which serves excellent food that can be eaten out on the large patio over looking the river. Also within the village is an Art gallery displaying local artists work, and a post office. There is also local produce sold at a weekly farmers market.
The sandy beaches of Polkerris, Readymoney (Fowey) or Par sands are all within 5 minutes by car. If you wish to visit Padstow or any of the North Coast beaches or attractions these are still only 45 muinutes drive away which makes Camellia Cottage a perfect place for touring all Cornwall has to offer.
Nearby local attractions include the world famous Eden Project, Bodmin Moor, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and Dobwalls Family Adventure Park. Further afield, why not try eating at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Cornwall at Watergate Bay or at one of Rick Stein's restaurants in Padstow both of which are located on Cornwall's north coast.
